Interview with Brenda
“I was entrusted with a project to manage from A to Z – with supportive guidance throughout.”
Why did you decide to do an apprenticeship at Sit Steuerungstechnik?
Before I started my training as an office management assistant, I worked at Sit as a clerk in the service department. I wanted to develop my skills and acquire a German education, so I decided to try something different at Sit. It's great that I can continue my career here because I've already worked at the company for several years and feel at home here.
What do you like most about your training at Sit?
In my current department (materials purchasing), I was assigned a project where I was able to take care of all the important steps from A to Z. That means everything from ordering goods to transport registration. I'm already looking forward to my second project.
How would you describe the working environment at Sit?
The working atmosphere is very pleasant. My colleagues and trainers are very helpful and responsive to my interests.
How does your training at Sit differ from what you hear or see at other companies?
At Sit, great care is taken to ensure that trainees are treated with respect.
What opportunities do you have at Sit to develop yourself further and learn new things?
There are many opportunities for further training and online courses.
Was there a moment when you realized that Sit was the right place for you to do your apprenticeship?
Since I started working at the company, my coworkers have always been helpful. That's when I realized that Sit was the best place for me to do my apprenticeship.
How would you explain to a friend why doing an apprenticeship at Sit is a good decision?
It's enjoyable to work at Sit because the working atmosphere is good, there's no bullying of trainees, and all colleagues work as a team.
Is there anything else you'd like to tell us or that's particularly important to you?
When a team comes together, that's a start; when it stays together, that's progress; when it works together, that's success.
