With a turnover of more than 100 billion dollars, Amazon is the largest Internet mail order company. In Germany alone the US company accounts for just under a quarter of online sales. Apart from the wide range, it is above all because of the short delivery times that millions of customers order from Amazon every day.

The most important thing for this service is smooth logistics and stock management. Our control system ensures that the packages and parcels take the right route and leave the stores quickly in 20 sites all over Europe. And so, for example, we have developed and implemented a six kilometre long conveying system for the fulfilment center in Rheinberg in the Lower Rhine, via which about 17,000 packages an hour are transported and prepared for dispatch.

Robert Bosch GmbH is one of the most important component suppliers for the automobile industry not only in Germany. The automotive aftermarket business division offers private customers, workshops and special automobile companies a wide range of spare parts and technical equipment for service and repair. More than 18,000 employees in 150 countries ensure that more than 650,000 different spare parts arrive at the customers on time every day.

The most important thing for rapid service and short response times is smooth logistics and stock management. Since 2015 the Bosch Group has been expanding its distribution centre in Karlsruhe: The centre should be so far extended by the end of 2018 that in future 5,000 goods containers will be put into stock every hour and up to 3,600 consignments will be sent on their way. We developed and installed the control system for the complex conveying equipment that controls around 2,100 motors with a total of six Bosch Rexroth L65/L75 control systems and thus helps to ensure that the right parts arrive at the right place quickly and reliably.
